Pyewacket (2018) - Adam MacDonald
Source: Amazon prime

Feeling isolated and hopeless, Leah turns to black magic to release her anger. She naively performs an occult ritual found in a book on her bedroom shelf to invoke the spirit of a witch to kill her mother

Nic Cage is kinda like the inverse Jared Leto, I'll watch just about anything he's in.

@rigg.lgbtOct 11, 2026, 4:39 PM

Same

*looks at the state of the world in general and men in particular * Actually... maybe that one WILL get a lot of use

@rigg.lgbtOct 11, 2026, 4:38 PM

Now he's 90, and I'm reasonably sure he's not immortal, I feel I ought to work more BRIAN BLESSED quotes into everyday conversation before it's too late. The thing is how many opportunities per day am i going to have to say "not now, dear, I'm busy calling this man a cunt"?

@rigg.lgbtOct 11, 2026, 4:35 PM

indeed

@rigg.lgbtOct 11, 2026, 4:35 PM

Yeah the length really worries me

@rigg.lgbtOct 11, 2026, 4:04 PM

Maybe he has?

@rigg.lgbtOct 11, 2026, 4:03 PM

We are soon going to have to come to grips with the fact that this shit is asbestos for the mind

I want to see an alternate version of Romesh Ranganathan's insufferable "What has the BBC ever done for me" ads that cover all this stuff

*sniff It does go on, Bill.

An image from the 2013 docudrama, An Adventure In Space and Time. David Bradley as William Hartnell. He is dressed as the First Doctor before shooting his last scenes in his final story, The Tenth Planet.

In this poignant scene, Hartnell looks across the TARDIS console and sees a future Doctor, a symbolic scene ensuring that what Hartnell created lasts and goes on. In the original broadcast on November 21, 2013 as part of the show's 50th anniversary, Hartnell sees Matt Smith as the Eleventh Doctor, the Doctor at the time. When it was rebroadcast during the 60th anniversary on November 23, 2023, Smith was replaced by Ncuti Gatwa, who was about to become the 15th Doctor.

In this image, Hartnell looks across and sees the Doctor from the upcoming CBeebies program, Doctor Who: TARDIS Crew.

Ridley has decided we're having a lie in, so a lie in we shall have

@rigg.lgbtOct 11, 2026, 8:42 AM

Most dogs run slightly warmer than human in body temperature, but Ridley is extra warm even by dog standards, and his fur is so fine and soft. As long as there isn't a bony pointy bit sticking into me (and there are many of those, so it happens a lot, but not today) this is the height of luxury.

Nic Cage:

He continued: β€œHow do you survive AI? Amazon is a very AI friendly company to the tune of 50 billion dollars invested to OpenAI. I am not an AI friendly actor. I didn’t sign the waiver to let them use AI on Spider-Noir. It’s kind of like I’m probably not going to be working with that studio again. But that’s OK. So I got to get with these young directors who are Gen Z and they’re going at it their own way, whether it’s through the YouTube culture or whatever it is. They’re doing it from scratch and by hand. I want to get with that.”

That precious moment of a morning where the dog has looked out the window, decided he doesn't want to go out yet, pawed at the duvet, and croissanted himself in the small of my back. Back is achy after yesterday's sewing lesson (pattern cutting, fabric cutting, all on feet) and this is VERY welcome

It tried to make me change "boys' school" to "boy's school" in a film description the other day and I had to fight with it for like three times before it gave up
