Sell airport, buy pipeline. Who TF wants to own an oil pipeline over an airport in 2035?

Ranked choice voting in Canada is pushed by partisans who stand to benefit. You can have proportional ranked choice voting (STV) or add a dozen MLAs to keep local representation but he pushes a system that models his party doing super well […]

Great CBC article on how first-past-the-post has distorted Quebec's democracy.

The PQ, QS, and PCQ all committed to electoral reform during the election campaign. Now is the time to make that happen. www.cbc.ca/news/canada/...

@kini @quebecsolidaire.bsky.social live by first past the post, die by first past the post

I love that grandmas have always been into giving us a spoon of some weird thing.

@paige.canadiancivil.comSep 29, 2026, 2:06 AM

I hope the PQ get a minority because on ProRep Plamondon is a certified slippery fish. Both QS and the PCQ are for real and could keep him honest if they pushed the issue. As a single issue voter I appreciate @quebecsolidaire.bsky.social for getting it on the agenda.

Very solid and concise summary of where we are at.

Wholesale(Infrastructure) and retail splits in markets that have concentrated or natural monopolies is a great policy solution.
This would be done in #Canada in numerous sectors if the government was actually serious about economic development […]

I would of been 100% if not for my love of giant mugs of low quality coffee!

All the #Ontario parties have now completed their conversion over to the.. flower thing.
TBH I kind of think the old liberal logo was pretty iconic and none of these seem very good.

The new Green Party logo looks like a subway station in #Montreal

@paige.canadiancivil.comSep 22, 2026, 5:01 PM

The conservatives had this brief 3 year period where they gave the leaf a little spin which I'm sure was a hot debate.
It's probably really annoying that the Liberal's have branded themselves red.

The first NDP logo when they were known as "The New Party" is pretty solid too

Once we're done with the 70s aesthetic for political campaigns I'm hoping someone gives 3D a go again.

If Silo was realistic, it’d be a massive number of people nodding with pursed lips at people they pass on the stairs because they have a petty grievance about something they did 6 years ago.

@paige.canadiancivil.comSep 21, 2026, 11:12 PM

The writers on the show Silo haven’t lived in an isolated small town. There’s no secrets, a pool of 10k people doesn’t produce dozens of genius political operators, criminals and engineers. So many scenes where two people don’t know each other and people pass through a crowd of strangers.
