I’ll never understand why major publishers just let great books go out of print for no reason. Shade is my FAVORITE COMIC. With the success of Absolute Martian Manhunter, you’d think DC would WANT to have more surrealist, cerebral books like this one on the shelves!

I got to host a show of Lair at a local arthouse theater and it was the greatest day of my life. 🐍🐍🐍

Lovely words about Pegasus Books and another great PNW comic shop from the She-Devil With A Sharpie herself, Gail Simone! As a woman working in comics, as a reader, a writer, a journalist, a retailer, and above all as a Batgirl fan, I owe Gail SO MUCH. On top of that, she’s an absolute sweetheart. ♥️

Also, we commented on a lovely young ladies comics, she had Catwoman on top of her stack, and had gone to my spotlight panel and had Uncanny right under Catwoman. I just thought that was fun. Hi, Olivia!

It was clean and orderly and full of amazing books and comics and more. One of the best selections I’ve seen in a long while!

Next we stopped at Pegasus Books in Bend, Oregon…which was a good store that’s been open forever, always enjoyed visiting. But there’s a new co-owner and manager and holy heck, it’s now one of my favorite comics stores anywhere! Say hi to the wonderful and lovely Sabrina, everyone!

Stopped at an orchard and now we have more apples than god.
