Throwing it back to the 2010s this week!

Our Paleontology Hall has a beautiful central exhibit displaying the Cleveland-Lloyd Quarry, with critters like Allosaurus.

The exhibit was revamped between 2010-2012 to better reflect new advancements in science!

It's Throwback Thursday!

On September 1, 1979, our museum held a statue dedication for local artist Gary Prazen’s bronze sculpture “Survival”. The statue displays an Allosaurus eating a “gamptosaurus” in a battle of mortal combat.

It’s Fossil Friday!

Utah’s state dinosaur is Utahraptor ostrommaysi, a sickle-clawed dromaeosaurid from the Cretaceous.

Utahraptor, meaning “Utah’s predator” is one of the oldest, largest dromaeosaurids in the fossil record!
