It costs 140 times more to run a van than to run a cargo bike, which will only get worse as the price of diesel climbs.
While a van will sometimes be necessary, a cargo bike can often do the job just as well.

We should all try to reduce fuel demand by switching some journeys for walking and cycling and turning off engines when stopped.
Not all journeys can be walked or cycled but most car journeys are <3 miles and many potentially can.

@walkriderochdale.org.ukFor clarity, we are as against antisocial use of motorcycles as anyone else, but our position is that this is a policing matter, usually done by a small number of individuals, and putting barriers that prevent use of non-standard bikes on shared use paths is never the correct response.
