I’m sick of everyone else’s complicity, and sick of acting like it doesn’t make me sick. I feel it’s not the minority of virulent transphobes that have decided to become obsessed with us who are harming us most. they would be nothing without the silent majority who cannot ask themselves to care.

I wonder if any other trans folks who, having previously had the luxury of stealth, are going through this similar compulsion? I’m sick of hiding it professionally. turning up to work the day after the cass report, the supreme court ruling, the youth suicide report release like everything’s fine.

well, may have outed myself to a colleague today because I got pissed off by the attitude of “well, you’re very politically aware- me, I live in my own little bubble,” and I said we don’t all have that luxury and some of us actually have to have an exit strategy and she asked me why…

Is it irritating anyone else that the whimsymaxxing trend has everyone captioning their pictures/videos with “a whimsy autumn,” “a whimsy crafts night,” etc. and not “a whimsical [insert event here]” or is this something I need to work through in therapy?
