Making a square/rectangular Halloween costume? We can help!

The weirdest and most confusing one I got was pretending to be from my own editor.

I just scrolled back to look at each and every sketch. They're amazing! 😍

Yeah, I mark so many as spam these days I do wonder if legit ones have been lost as well. But I err on the side of caution. My tiny trust is broken.

I am ready with the virtual pom poms for cheering you both on.

@rflong.bsky.socialOct 11, 2026, 3:27 PM

AND in case any of you were worried, I finally managed to finish The Wretched Divine afterwards. Wow! What an ending! 😭

Had a fantastic time chatting with the incredible Adalyn Grace last night in front of a big crowd in Eason O'Connell Street. I think we collectively charmed her enough to get her to come back to Ireland soon. Great work team. πŸ˜‚

Unsolicited writing advice, no. 8260: Whatever genre you write, read folklore. Folklore exists because at some point, people cared so much about a certain thing that they put it into a story, and passed it down the centuries in order to keep it alive. That deserves attention.

Sounds like a good night

Hopefully. I may have a conflict for next year's but fingers crossed we'll all meet up soon

@rflong.bsky.socialOct 9, 2026, 8:28 AM

Total fomo from seeing everyone head off to #Fantasycon but there's just so much life stuff going on right now I'd spend the weekend asleep in a corner. Have a wonderful time people. Be excellent to each other. (Don't break @daveruddenwrites.bsky.social )

I mean… horrifying but also can we not think about the uptick of readers during Covid, how to make stories fun again, not abandon YA and MG which produce new readers, maybe a lil less snake eating its own tail…
