For @wamc.org: I'm back in the studio for Northeast Notebook! They trusted me with recapping the Mass gubernatorial debate! On in about 10 min

Please support @greenfieldrecorder.bsky.social if you have the means. Most regional, rural papers across the country will never hold a candle to their output
... big enough to tip the scales, but the trajectory looks like "yes" to the $236 million school building funding authorization. Meanwhile, it's hard to see the PV Regional/Gill-Montague district merger passing.
Before heading to bed, @greenfieldrecorder.bsky.social is diligently updating results out of Franklin County for both the technical school funding question and the smaller school district merger question. As of 9:30 PM, the Franklin Tech vote is relatively close, with Greenfield & Montague...
when someone drops "sportsball" into a conversation like this they are madder than they have ever been in their life
For @wamc.org: Across much of Franklin County, polls are opening at noon for a special vote - one to authorize funding for a new Franklin Tech building. That and, for six towns, a potential merger of the PV Regional and Gill-Montague school districts.

Thanks to @jpaleolo.bsky.social for covering the big vote that's happening in western Mass tomorrow
I think NOLA's fried lobster tail was this year's official winner (Big E? MassLive's top pick?) but holy shit - the humble, modest apple crisp isn't playing around
Strictly in a personal capacity and not as a representative of WAMC, I declare the best dish at this year's Big E is the apple crisp at Valley View Orchard Pies at the Maine state house. Oats, honey/syrup and apples are perfect. Fever dream caliber.
It's like the concept of how, as time goes on, more and more space debris surrounding the earth's orbit means spaceships need to be equipped to handle crashing through said debris. It's a bizarre situation that's so out of hand, there's no foundational solutions
It might be part of dead Internet theory, but I think something that could use some more spotlight is the sheer breadth of bullshit You have to deal with if you or your favorite apps don't have rudimentary spam filtering
I turned these three iPhone features off so that I could get an important call I was expecting without missing it, and within 30 minutes, I got hit with a spam call center on the other side of the world
For @wamc.org: Western Mass. residents sound off on pitch to send millions more gallons of Quabbin water east
