I find this entertaining, but it's also a bit of hazing of the new Commissioner and Secretary, I think www.masslive.com/politics/202...
I promsie I am not going all conspiracy-theory on this, but I do think the timing is a thing who-cester.blogspot.com/2026/10/conn...
Congratulations to Franklin County Tech on getting their new building passed #MAEdu
I understand the Boston Globe had to write their own voucher article, though it has been well covered by both @statehousenews.com and @flipsidenews.bsky.social, but a round of “but they said” closing with a pro-voucher quote certainly reads as advocacy, not news. #MAEdu
Per the Greenfield Recorder’s raw results, there will not be a Great River School District. The towns overwhelming rejected consolidation of the Gill-Montague and Pioneer Regional School districts (with or without Warwick). #MAEdu
Thanks to @jpaleolo.bsky.social for covering the big vote that's happening in western Mass tomorrow
Oh gawd, Mary Tamer strikes again!

cheers to @wbjournal.bsky.social for running the @statehousenews.com piece on Gov. Healey and the federal voucher scheme wbjournal.com/article/trea...
Per further @statehousenews.com reporting, Healey is still ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ on the vouchers
I’d note two further things:
1. Governor Healey has yet to say if MA is out of the federal voucher scheme;
2. Boston Public Schools secondary school students ride the T to school.
“Though it is well-funded enough to afford a $1.5 million ad campaign, its leaders won’t identify most of the people bankrolling this effort.”
The Boston Globe was always going to be pro-voucher, but the poorly informed nature of today’s editorial is bad.
They waited for the rule-making but didn’t read it. There’s no “shaping” this program.

I think, counting noses, the Board's about evenly split on the Commissioner's proposed strategic plan, which he doesn't appear to think they need to approve, and a number of them are clear they do.
tonight's debate: the classic 'too many isn't any' when it comes to goals #MAEdu
