But one state just went from having 3 time zones within its borders to two: NSW Most of the state advanced from +1000 to +1100, Yancowinna County (Broken Hill) from +0930 to +1030, and Lord Howe Is from +1030 to... +1100

It doesn't matter how loud you think you are, it doesn't matter if you are a speaker or audience member. You should try to accommodate people who are hard of hearing (otherwise you're excluding them!)
