The US government repeats some mistakes over and over, hostage to a sefl-imposed knowledge gap.

How can researchers tip the balance?

If European countries & other signatories to the International Criminal Court have any self-respect, they'd sanction Rubio & Trump for obstructing investigations of Netanyahu's war crimes.

It looks years for Dems to start using antiwar messages in their campaign ads after Iraq. It's taken months on Iran.

Dem attacks mount. Josh Turek, the Democratic Senate nominee in Iowa, hammered his opponent Rep. Ashley Hinson (R-Iowa) for opposing the resolution.

“While others said enough is enough, Ashley Hinson, Iowa’s least bipartisan member of Congress, voted to continue the war in Iran for a 7th time,” Turek said in a post on X.

Explicit mentions of Iran in campaign ads are increasing.

WinSenate, a Democratic group aligned with Senate Majority PAC, unveiled a $4.5 million ad campaign tying Michigan GOP Senate nominee Mike Rogers to the Iran war in late August.

Will Lawrence, who’s hoping to flip the Michigan seat held by Rep. Tom Barrett (R-Mich.), said in his first general election ad that Barrett “spent billions for a war in Iran while our neighbors can’t afford their housing and healthcare.” (Barrett has supported several war powers resolutions to end operations in Iran.)

If Ds retake the WH in 29 "it would be extremely frustrating, and political malpractice, if yet another Democratic president had to expend valuable time and energy fighting with his or her own party leadership to execute popular international initiatives, as Barack Obama did with the 2015 Iran deal"

Democratic voters are overwhelmingly anti-war, yet foreign policy hawks remain massively overrepresented in leadership roles. It’s a problem we need to fix.

A multipolar world is here. The question is whether U.S. foreign policy adapts or ignores that reality.

One of the lessons of the Iran war is that it was a huge mistake not to even try to put any of the Iraq war architects in prison. We shouldn’t make it again.
