Last week, we welcomed Joseph Pold from @plos.org for a seminar on navigating academic publishing.

Joe shared practical advice on open access, choosing journals, indexing, research impact, submission pitfalls and building a professional profile.

Smokingโ€™s mortality penalty appears to have risen over recent decades, but why?

New research co-authored by Professor @drjenndowd.bsky.social finds much of the increase reflects a changing age distribution among smokers.
