In observance of Zinetober, a brief homage to the blues.
It was a blast making these Web Tile synth patches with atmosynth.at by @center.for.cybernetic.beauty. Drums, bass, organ, and a spinning Leslie, one page at a time. Playing on appmosphe.re by @robin.berjon.com.
Really cool! Thanks for sharing! Makes me think how this combination of zine and synth can be used as an educational tool.
And an accompanying fix to appmosphe.re

Created a PR in the @dasl.ing Tiles spec to make tile uploads to the PDS more robust.
If you enjoy synth patches, check out atmosynth.at by @center.for.cybernetic.beauty! Build sounds from oscillators, filters, and envelopes in your browser, and save them to your own account. Here's mine turned into a Web Tile. An orchestral Twinkle, Twinkle ✨
Experimenting with Atmosynth patch export to web tiles:

atmosynth.at now shows a lineage tree when forking or importing other people's patches, modules or samples. Nothing here is cryptographically proven, as people could also just copy & paste open data, but it is a nice built-in way to pay tribute.
@woody.fm VST plugin is now available
at.atmosynth.patch PDS records can now be played with a VST plugin in DAWs like Ableton Live.
Atmosynth got featured in German music gear news blog Gearnews ❤️
Lasse Eilers writes: "I think this is a very exciting and promising approach!" (translation by deepl)
Caldir by @t4t5.com is just great. Finally a backup from Google Calendar that is under my control.
Also, all built-in modules that Atmosynth uses are now specified here: atmosynth.at/asml
If someone wants to build an application that builds Web Audio API graphs and stores them in a PDS, I have published a spec for this which describes the way atmosynth.at does it with the at.atmosynth.patch records: tangled.org/center.for.c...
Even more has landed on atmosynth.at since the last update:
- Multiplayer patch editing
- Song arranger
- Edit on your phone
- Create without signing in
- Remix any patch instantly
- Multiple keyboards per patch
- New modules: beat repeat, drive, 9-band EQ, pink noise
- and much more
I've written down some thoughts about synth patches and Atmosynth
Experimented around with Sample & Hold today which resulted in this progression. Kinda like it: atmosynth.at/patch/3mw272...
Thank you! Yes, I want to do more video tutorials. We also want to make the tool more beginner-friendly. If there is anything you'd like to see in particular, let me know.
This looks amazing. I'll keep repeating it over and over: ATproto is not about rebuilding social media. It's about rebuilding the Internet with social connections built in.
This is pretty rad.
