This is the second of the two originals mixtapes.
This one is about organic melodic sounds and bass. It has music that I’ve been writing in the last year, but also the first song I ever released.

Now that this stuff is out there, I gotta get the music I’ve been making in the last month ready to release!
This is the second of the two originals mixtapes.

Only joined for the protocol, but I’m a nerd and wasn’t a twitterer. Maybe would’ve happened a different way if it established itself as a Reddit alternative earlier.
Many people will end up with multiple PDS’s before they realize that the different websites they used them on are interoperable. Three atmosphere accounts is better than no atmosphere accounts!
I've been making electronic music for about 10 years now.
This summer, I put together my best originals and remixes into a pair of 45 minute mixtapes.
This one is funky #house and disco
Points to whoever ID's the intro sample without looking it up.
That’s not true. #ATproto explicitly allows for editing. I can change any and all data that exists in my PDS. It’s a product decision whether those edits are surfaced to readers.
I've shipped with it!
@openmusicevent.app was white labeled for a music festival at the beginning of this month, and is deployed to about 1700 with a single SwiftUI codebase on both iOS and Android.
<150 lines of kotlin.
Got to go Backpacking in and around Grand Teton National Park this weekend!
It’s time to put what we’ve learned about isolation into practice. We’re building the reimagined Composable Architecture 'Store' from scratch and exploring the benefits of strictly controlling isolation through every layer of the library.

Here’s a demo!! It’s a music visualizer that changes the strength of effects based on the energy, frequency bands and hits in a song.
It integrates with @plyr.fm. Shout out to @woody.fm for the sick track.
Yeah it depends on the scope of course. platforms like iOS evolve quickly, and if you want to build a SOTA iOS app, there’s a lot of things to know that dont crossover with web dev. APIs to adopt, navigation patterns, and how to make something feel “iOS-y” generally requires an iOS expert
The second 80% still needs someone with a deep understanding of the language and platform itself, for now. But spec and harnessing means that you only need 1 or 2 platform experts, instead of multiple teams.
Deterministic iOS native app -> Android native app is already possible and productionized. (I’ve shipped with it)
“Nondeterministicly build other platform from specs” is a bandaid. If the spec is precise enough to do that effectively, it will look *a lot* like real code. And If we’re close to real code, we might as well be writing it with a compiler.
Huge Thank You to all those who submitted 🫂

It was such an awesome experience hearing everyone's renditions; Even cooler that we were able to stitch this together across several AT Services
SKIP is better than #react-native, which outputs exactly 0 native mobile apps despite its name. It’s also better than Kotlin Multiplatform. Which ships native on Android, but the iOS app does not use native components. SKIP is the true “write once, run everywhere” for mobile dev.
I want to point out that on the bleeding edge of #swift and #swiftUI development, there’s the ability to ship native iOS **and** native Android from the same codebase using skip.dev
I shipped @openmusicevent.app to 700 Android users with <500 lines of Kotlin. Its still a native Jetpack app.
Using native UI frameworks means that an app automatically adopts new UI paradigms. The more an app follows the OS guidelines for how to use widgets and APIs, the smoother it adopts.
The iPhone Duo just launched. How well is social-app going to handle it? Not as well as if it was built in #swiftUi
