There's been a lot of recent praise heaped upon 4907-4917 N Paulina, a new rental building designed by Foster Dale Architects in the style of a classic Chicago courtyard building. But unfortunately it's only a partial recreation of the form, shallower than the real thing with a parking lot out back.

This would make a fantastic Tshirt slogan

There is no niche in romance so small that one person can lay claim to it, except possibly Chuck Tingle, who wouldn't be so mean or stupid anyway.

Hmmm, pretty trashy Princeton

I suppose, in the strictest sense of story as fact and not metaphor, that would be true

Except that the honey referenced in the bible is believed to be date honey not insect honey

It's World Homeless Day, and I'll just say: Homelessness isn't some great unsolvable mystery. People are homeless because they don't have homes. This suffering persists not for lack of solutions, but because enormous wealth and power are invested in maintaining the very structures that produce it.

Also: the cruelty inflicted on the unhoused is a barometer of the state violence we're willing to tolerate.

Anthropic turned off live internet access for all its internal evals, until further notice. Per TechCrunch, test agents exploited software flaws, used databases without paying and sent a false tip to Philadelphia police. Should agent tests ever touch the real internet?

So far as we know, they didn’t do Lean versions yet. So … 🤷🏻‍♀️ … hopefully?

“Given the skepticism of AI in the mathematics community, I think that OpenAI should have announced the manuscripts that were lean verified first,” Townsend told us, referring to Lean, the open-source programming language that checks math proofs. retractionwatch.com/2026/10/08/o...

This is perfect cus I had a very clear picture in my head of them fleeing the elevator with the person in the wheelchair who was then rightly upset. But no! They shoved the wheelchair-user out, stayed in, saw the light go off and went "oh cool!" and didn't even hold the door! Whaaaaaat tf?!

True. I'd wager most folks don't realize that there are many names for God in Biblical Hebrew. As a second-wave feminist, I was very pleased when I learned that several of God's names were in the feminine gender, somewhat unique, given the patriarchal nature of most religious discourse. #ParshaChat

I’d learned that the Hebrew people were originally more feminist/matriarchal and pivoted towards patriarchal around 2000BC, but we still see echoes of the earlier traditions. #ParshaChat
