Rewatched this tonight. Highly
recommended. This Decoder episode stands as one of the most prescient takes form @reckless.bsky.social on the future of the web and AI

@reckless.bsky.social has described this as the "door dash problem." I still feel the monopoly of Google/Amazon/Apple will be big enough to bully any other business into relenting into their systems. www.theverge.com/podcast/8239...

Very good rundown of the wide gulf between promise and reality for agents. For Muse to really work like Facebook wants, every other company with a digital presence would have to unilaterally surrender and turn over their experience to Zuck; same with any other agent. Idk seems unlikely!

This episode alone makes my recent Verge sub renewal so worth it. @reckless.bsky.social gets to the heart of the issues, which is probably why Mark Zuckerberg declined to come on Decoder. www.theverge.com/podcast/9993...

The best way to fight back against the Paramount/Warner Brothers merger is to support independent artists, journalists, writers, filmmakers, musicians and everyone else who has been walking a very hard path to putting things out into the world.
