The result was poor relative to the hype, but good in terms of long term trends. Greens are now the second largest party in this district. Both can be true and don't take much effort to reconcile against each other.

TBF it's the Green Party of England and Wales. The Scottish Party is a separate entity and has made a more nuanced statement on the GPEW's adopted motion.

Feels to me like it a bit of the Microsoft suite model. Focus on big institutions on the cheap as a lossleader and make the leadership dependent on the technology without worrying about whether workers actually like it. You can hike the price later.

If attendance at a major women's conference was down 80% due to a boycott fighting against trans *inclusion*, it would be all over the Times, Telegraph, Mail etc. This last weekend, attendance at a major women's conference was down 80% due to a boycott fighting against trans *exclusion*. Crickets.

The Labour Party’s women’s conference on 26/9/26 was an embarrassing farce, with only 200 delegates of the 1,000 normal attendance (no major unions) in protest of the Labour Party’s shameful abandonment of trans people following the legally absurd ruling of the Supreme Court in FWS in April 2025.

A masters student from the University of Greenwich is recruiting trans+ young people to share their perspectives on how rising anti-trans sentiments in public discussions are impacting the wellbeing of our community. Scan the QR code or email them at [email protected] for more info.

Recruitment flyer with a cream background, pink speech bubbles and purple accents. Illustrations show two people seated and talking, with a question mark in a speech bubble, and two people standing with a trans pride flag. A QR code appears at the bottom right. The flyer reads:
“TRANS, NON-BINARY, GENDERQUEER YOUNG PEOPLE! WE NEED YOUR INSIGHT! Participants wanted for qualitative research on the impact of rising anti-trans rhetoric in public discourse on trans+ youth. Informal Online Interviews. 45 - 60 Mins. Private & Confidential. Must be aged 18 - 25. FOR MORE INFO: or email researcher at

Worth noting — as most coverage omits it — that Peggie called Dr. Upton "a freak", "a weirdo" and "it". Peggie said she would like to post bacon to a mosque. Peggie reacted to news of deaths in flooding in Pakistan by saying "What goes around comes around, they've been flooding Britain for years."

Notably the women's conference is NOT being boycotted by LGBT+ Labour, who love the transphobia.

I don't think the government of a democracy should have masked secret police that roam the country murdering people, with their actions treated as totally outside the law.

What the UK Government is going by its decisions on trans people is teaching trans people that authority doesn't protect, but instead abuses. This applies in schools, in the workplace, in civic society, in politics, in healthcare. And if they can do this to trans people, they can do it to anyone.

@goodlawproject.org -- you seen this? Seems like a useful case to test the legality of ehrc guidance
