@ohmu.social.seattle.wa.us.ap.brid.gyNotes: - Riordan was tried and did not click. - There are many lists posted but all the ones I've found are for adults or young adults moving away from Potter. I'm looking for an alternative for a very early reader reading with the help of their parent. - We are seeing my brother's family in […]

How did you stumble onto this?
@sarae.ecoevo.social.ap.brid.gyReposted by @ohmu.social.seattle.wa.us.ap.brid.gysomehow I had never read this 1983 essay by Ursula K LeGuin, on utopia and Native California and technology, until tonight it is remarkably cogent and relevant to the present moment perhaps to some past and future moments as well and now that I've found it, you can read it, too […]

Because I think you posted a list a month or so ago like this but I'm failing to find it.
@ohmu.social.seattle.wa.us.ap.brid.gy#Books question:
My brother (in Berlin) is reading his daughter into the Potter-verse.
Ugh.
I want to propose an alternative. It should be something that is as magnetic as the Potter books (and if you don't get or agree with that, please refrain) but without contributing to a trans-hating […]

The ST wants me to fill out a survey. I started it but what I saw was just balancing areas of interest.
Is it worth finishing it in order to invite a written comment saying they should credit reporting?

I have a friend who calls riding the Ballard Bridge "the sobriety test".

@ohmu.social.seattle.wa.us.ap.brid.gyI think it was last week that some creeps showed up at the Sports Bra in Portland so it might be a thing now.
Some heroes (who had to simultaneously deal with the usual crap from Portland police) dislodged the creeps and kept them moving all the way to a Fred Meyer several blocks away.

There are express and local versions of several routes but I wonder how that would work with a Rapid Ride. Part of the RR design is it allows the bus to make as few lane changes as possible.

What is PQ's beef with the high speed rail project?

Totally.
I tell pol campaigns now that I'm flat out not donating via ActBlue or any Dem party web platform. I'll send them a check. I'll push via PayPal. I've lost every last smidgeon of trust in their donation collection.
And I still hope Dr. Pan wins.

I've been intrigued watching Ben Royce's approach to it.
I'm not sure it's effective but it is interesting.
