There are many reasons that I wanted to start a program like REBUILD. Over the years, when incarcerated comrades returned home, they would ask for counseling/therapy resources that were culturally competent. I only ever had a couple of local resources for them when I lived in Chicago.

For what it’s worth… we would LOVE to read your work; we have sample contracts linked in our guidelines, designed to be as author-friendly as possible; and we pay artists fairly for original art. This week's firestorm around MRM kicked off when it became apparent they were trying to grab the rights to cover art by the beloved and excellent artist John Picacio. It's important to stipulate that John is *already* super generous with his rights! Many other artists who do zine covers are, too.
