both of them are wearing their usual clothes. Oruggio is dressed in a long dark skirt with an intricate wide belt and a loose white shirt tucked into it, with long billowing sleeves, caught at the elbows with dark cords. Qifrey is wearing a black turtleneck, the collar covering his neck and the sleeves covering his hands halfway; his white robes and skirt are a mess of drapery caught in between the silver wood branches. he seems to be limp and resigned, letting the branches hold him up, his face covered and half out of frame, his lips pressed into a thin, anguished line. Oruggio stands in front of him, pressing the back of Qifrey's right hand into his chest, and holding the fingers of Qifrey's left hand loosely in his right, together with his ivory-handled pen, resting between Oruggio's thumb and Qifrey's fingers. his face is turned up to Qifrey's, and he is wearing a soft smile, eyes closed as if he is sleeping, resting his cheek on a branch that curls gently around his shoulders and back.
