Listen to my full conversation with Liz; she's a warm and natural interviewer:
Y'all I'm tired. Sleepy eepy. Tuckered out. Honk Shoo. Anyway back to your regularly scheduled program.
When Dan asked for a copy of Pax Playground, I was just excited that someone I respect wanted to play it. This is the first time anyone has written about one of my games. And for that first outing to see the game with so much clarity and intention is a moment I'll cherish. Thank you, Dan!
Gene you're awesome and do so much cool stuff for the community. Loving the Designed in the DMV stuff!

Had a great time repping the Harrisburg Board Game Alliance at the Stuff to Do Fair. Talked about our events, other game meet ups, what modern hobby games are, local designers, and played a round of Color Jam. So many people!
Daniel had a chance to check out an advance version of Color Jam courtesy of @lunarpunk.games, live now on Kickstarter. It elevates the art form to explore a spectrum of improvised creativity and surprisingly strategic puzzling, allowing the player to find their own sense of satisfaction and victory
Loved listening to this! You're spot on about the 1s in Color Jam, they can be really tricky! During design work we often have a decent bit of discussion and testing around where the 1s are going and how we want to build around them.
On this week's podcast I have impressions of -Color Jam and it's playful innovation on player goals and victory -Island Off Outer Dancing, a free stand alone sequel to one of my games of the year, experimenting with standards of storytelling and rhythm
It's Cardboard Time! Episode 145 is now available (tinyurl.com/2f9bat45). On today's episode we look at Color Jam by @lunarpunk.games as well as chatting with some of the folks behind Color Jam - Gene Koo, Joe Kell, and Matthew Hocker.
This was such a great and comfy chat! Thanks for having us Arwen!!
Thank you for your support!!
This looks great too! looooving all the purple.
This looks so good!!!
Color Jam has funded! We're so, so excited about making this coloring game a reality. Thanks to everyone for sharing, supporting, and helping this exist! And a major thanks to the incredible game designers Gene Koo and Joe Kell, as well as artist Erin Laue. You all made this something truly special.
Color Jam (I got a review copy from @lunarpunk.games) is live on Kickstarter now and I got some glitter markers for my kids bday party so I decided to try a page with those markers! Some were already running out (after being used by kids) but they were really pretty when they worked well!
At 3pm ET today, we're going to be live with @panda8ngel.bsky.social to play some Color Jam! Oh gosh, I still gotta pick which colors I'm going to use! 🤔🎨
Hope to see you there!
Thank you for your support! We're excited to see the cool art you make.
FUNDED!!! You're awesome Duncan!
That's a lot of 9s! Only $1 dollar to go and we're officially (color) jamming!
