Either way, and without any sense of irony, those who were provoked by the message of our post ended up demonstrating the truth of it: whether personal or professional, AI use is cutting you off from other other people, in ways they may be too polite or shy to point out to you.

Of all the predictable responses, the saddest ones are from folks trying to turn this inside out, promoting the marketing lie that AI use is a path to higher status. Or those spreading the myth that it's a necessary evil which we must accept in order to remain competitive in a dystopian economy

It's no fun making people feel bad, considering that this tech has been deliberately offered in a way that preys on users' status anxieties related to creativity, career, intellect & identity. But we can't roll over and accept the loss of our collective humanity, even speaking up causes discomfort.
