I dare you to prance across the pumpkin patch,
And see if you get a fright.
It’s a very creepy place to be,
Especially in the dead of night.

10 Oct 1970, Singer-songwriter #NeilDiamond achieved a massive milestone when his single "Cracklin' Rosie" hit No. 1 on the US Billboard Hot 100. While he had penned global hits for other artists (like The Monkees' "I'm a Believer"), this was his very first No. 1 single as a solo performing artist.

Jules Adolphe Breton (FR, 1827-1906) : The Song of the Lark, 1884 oil on canvas 110.6 × 85.8 cm | 43.5 × 33.75 in First exhibited at the Paris Salon in 1885, "The Song of the Lark" was one of the first paintings to enter the Art Institute of Chicago’s collection when they opened in 1893. More 👇

A lone peasant girl pauses her work to listen to a lark singing in the distance. Her emotional response to this moment of natural beauty is accentuated by the glow of the sun rising behind her, suffusing the landscape with golden light.

Breton specialized in scenes of rustic life in the countryside. Having been raised in the rural village of Courrières in northern France, he admired the people living there for their resourcefulness and connection to nature and gained immense popularity by painting them in his idealized style.
