As a lawyer, i worked (tangentially) on a serial killer case. Because he'd murdered so many people, he had body locations to swap for life in prison W/o parole, but the guy who shoots one person in a robbery, or even the guy just standing next to him, has nothing to deal. That changed my mind.

The goose coming at you, it's my 2026 vibe

Last summer we were in a high rise hotel room in Vancouver BC and suddenly there was a loud noise bc window washers were outside and their ropes were banging the glass. Thank goodness I was dressed.

I was a JAG. I would believe.

When I was still serving, I went on vacation to Switzerland and then I was supposed to report to Germany for TDY. Accidentally drank a Swiss beer that had a pointy leaf on the label, freaked out when I noticed, and took sad photos with the bottle, just in case I got tested and popped hot.

In my feed, the post above this thread was about puffy stickers so now I'm trying to picture Beartongue awarding puffy stickers when a Paladin learns to communicate.

Pre coffee face, of course

@annarichland.bsky.socialSep 30, 2026, 8:44 AM

I actually dedicated this novella to coffee, write a little iambic pentameter about all the coffees I have loved, so I'm not kidding with my ore-coffee face AT ALL.

Waiting for coffee and our turn to enter Nazarin Palace, the Alhambra. But really, waiting for coffee. (14th century monster, about the size of a muffin).

(to be clear it was being played by coffee shop in Terminal 4, not by me, although I think it's quite a catchy song)

I am sitting in LHR listening to Choosing Texas right now. He always loved Marlybone by morning

Sitting here Sunday morning with my coffee and loving my spouse a lot. He drank his coffee black so that I could have the last bit of the half and half. I realized that was a very, very Connor thing for him to do. (Connor's one of the heroes in my new release CHECKING OUT THE LIBRARIAN).

ABSOLUTE QUEEN

@annarichland.bsky.socialSep 26, 2026, 5:03 PM

I was at a Mariners game once and woman next to me (wearing a Seahawks jersey!) pulled 4 Tito's mini vodkas from her bra and got significantly drunk by doctoring her hard lemonade. My 9 yr old son on other side of me learned new things that day. That must have been in the back of my head.

Soft Nike sports one w/hooks, not a pull over the head type. Generous cups, but I only ever get a tall iced coffee. Drink half first or you get whale spouts. It was originally about the ice b/c I was in pain and the icepacks were warming up, then I discovered I could use the straw and keep my eyes.
