And I can't afford to travel abroad, but I do take 1-2 trips a year and see 20-30 concerts a year... Oregon is awesome. Then again I don't want new people driving up housing costs so maybe this is a boon 😂 /fin

Granted, I'll never be able to buy a house here on what was formerly a middle class income, but I am still able to afford a good quality of life here in the Willamette Valley...

And I have a decent state government job and am able to afford a duplex with a yard. Also the Portland suburbs, and Salem is a way more cost efficient capital city. Easy to get to everywhere. But Sacramento does have the world's best train museum 🤔

I mean like... Portland isn't the only place to live in Oregon? I live in Corvallis, it is far away from the concerts I like to see, but housing is way better than Portland so I don't live there. I've been to Sacramento several times and I'd have better quality of life in Portland...
