I check in daily with a couple Dear Friends. I listen - without prejudice, with presence - to their day, or whatever they are full of. I feel Rich. This fuels my soul and fills My Heart. Most times they listen to me, too.

Homelessness isn't a character flaw. It's what happens when people run out of money and nothing catches them. Basic income is that floor.

So encouraging! First donation in and I can't stop smiling. Thank you, anonymous supporter! Once we reach the goal, we sign on the dotted line and Basic Income Action takes its next big step toward becoming a nonprofit. Together we can do this. Who's next? 🙌

"Being poor is living in one long emergency, with no resources." An emergency doesn't ask if you've proven you deserve help first, it demands a response. A basic income is that response, a standing floor so no one has to survive crisis after crisis with nothing to fall back on.

If the big names are too worried about losing their titles to help push basic income forward, come talk to me. I'm here for the little people. It's time we stop promoting individuals in our community and start getting behind an idea. A movement.

Welfare asks "do you qualify?" A right asks "are you a member of the community?" Basic income is more than money. It's a claim, a right to access, our shared share of what we all inherit and build together.

You don't need a policy background to support basic income. Just find a post on our profile that says it for you, and repost.

Right now too many people stay in jobs they hate, relationships they should leave, or situations that aren't working, simply because they can't afford not to. Basic income changes that. It gives people the floor to make real choices about their own lives. Share if you agree.
