I believe so, but presumably that will be made up of the organisers, so I was just putting it out there in case any attendees had some thoughts fresh in their minds that they wanted to pass on...

Thanks to everyone involved in organising today’s joint @norfolknats.bsky.social and @suffolk-nats1929.bsky.social conference, and of course to everyone who attended. Feedback is welcomed to help inform future endeavours…

Something for Norfolk-based naturalists to keep a look out for this autumn. So far there is just a single county record (from New Buckenham Common)

Bay Bolete, Imleria badia.

In beech and pine woods near Swaffham, Norfolk, yesterday.

Several caps without a stipe but one lovely little specimen too, like a Penny Bun (Boletus edulis) but with a darker cap and pores that bruised blue.

Great day at @norfolknats.bsky.social and @suffolk-nats1929.bsky.social joint meeting on biological recording for nature recovery. Good balance between valuing expertise and increasing citizen science, and a range of views on AI from cautious embracing to outright hostility.

Catching up with some Norfolk highlights from last week including the (non - ruled out on sonogram) promising-looking 'Eastern' Yellow Wagtail, splendid weevil off Sea Beet Lixus scabricollis and a rust on Sea Campion at Cley with PSL maestros @graemelyons.bsky.social and @andymus.bsky.social

First winter Yellow Wagtail off the East Bank at Cley looked good for Eastern but gave variably raspy called, maybe zippiest when chased by a Mipit and seemingly the sonogram VAR says noThe fine little weevil Lixus scabricollis that Graeme and Andy were confident we would find on the Sea beat along the beach. They had also tamed it, it seemsUromyces behenis on leaves of Silene uniflora along the beach

It’s a great photo, but for those two you really need to check the underside of the abdomen to see the extent of the hairs (there is an excellent guide by @johnwalterswildife.bsky.social & Mark Telfer here: johnwalters.co.uk/pdfs/3%20Dor... )
