After literally years of pivoting my friend and I are finally launching cropguide.io 🚢

We offer a free tier with up to 100 edited images per month.

During the ProductHunt launch (is that still a thing?) we offer a 50% discount code on the paid tiers.

I’m ready for Europe’s response. HYPAH INTELLIGENCE

…okay apparently I should’ve added this way earlier, you all greatly prefer this over the other methods 😅 Just a reminder that I am very responsive to any user request you might have.

Its not explicitly set to a different value, but the default value of box-sizing for any element is content-box.

@kilianvalkhof.comOct 8, 2026, 2:43 PM

ha, I'm not convinced yet 😄

*mutters something about <forgiving-selector-list> and :is() not matching pseudos*

@kilianvalkhof.comOct 8, 2026, 2:15 PM

I'm not here to do math kevin, if I say the div is 100px it damn well be 100px.

@kilianvalkhof.comOct 8, 2026, 2:15 PM

and accept the awful content-sizing model? absolutely not.

@kilianvalkhof.comOct 8, 2026, 1:30 PM

An alternative idea would be the universaler selector (**) followed by the universalest selector (***)

I’d like to have a universal pseudo selector in CSS

Last week, I wasted about an hour of my time figuring out why a certain element had different dimensions than the same element elsewhere in the DOM....

"Four billion phones ask one text file what time it is. One lecturer keeps it in his spare time. We counted the rest." This is *barely coherent*. I am offended having read even the intro. It's awful If a human couldn't fucking be bothered to write it, this human can't be bothered to read it. GTFO.

@kilianvalkhof.comOct 8, 2026, 11:24 AM

a real chain reaction

(and css)

overscroll-behavior

Looks interesting!

I would use @polypane.app to check where that horizontal overflow is coming from. Also features a contrast checker that suggests improvements by the way.
