The rightwing response to the murder of Alex Pretti is predictable: to outshout and talk over anyone taking another position. The shrillness on Twitter is especially grating, but again, not surprising. It's Orwell's doublespeak. If the man had a cell phone instead of a gun, yell louder.

You know who”stayed a little back” in VIetnam? DJT.
Trump has lost his mind. His speeches are insane, misspelled ravings about the 2020 election, filled with bad grammar and shotgun caps. If this guy were a mayor in Anytown, USA, he would be told politely but firmly to surrender the gavel and get medical help.
Trump really is trying to destroy America. He has ginned up this idea that there are Red states and Blue states, instead of the United States. I think (and hope) that we will outlast him. One year down, three to go.
The idiocy of Trump is almost divine. Someone on that other site said "How stupid can he be if he ran all that real estate stuff in NYC?" Well, we could argue about that, but I will admit he has a certain animal cunning. Of course, my first agent used to say, "Shit full of gas always floats."
290 days until the midterms. We can do that. Then, the results are good, impeach Trump.
1100 days left in the Trump presidency. We can do that standing on our heads. Right?
Ben Leonberg's short and rather wonderful movie, GOOD BOY, is shot from the dog's perspective. It works.
I had an idea for a story the other day about a guy who sees a car passing him driven by mannequins. How weird that would be!
It'sd a fascinating idea.
Trump's Truth Social posts on replay for eternity.
You're a fine actor, Mark.
My idea of heaven: Fresh-baked sourdough bread from the Publix bakery.
Maduro's not a good guy, agreed. But neither is Putin, and Trump rolled out the red fucking carpet for him. It's not about dope, it's about oil (which kinda IS dope). Just when you think Trump has hit the gutter, he bounces lower.
Molly is hoping for 2026 to be really...really...EVIL.
“Trump-class battleships?” 🤣🤣 Trump’s narcissism reaches new heights of comedy.
NY Times: “This a presidency that celebrates nastiness and spite, not empathy or grace, a reflection, perhaps, of a coarser era in American life.”
This clip /might/ contain spoilers. You've been warned. All episodes of #ITWelcomeToDerry are now streaming on HBO Max.
Can't help ya.
The trouble with cars that start with the push of.a Button—now all of them—is that you can walk or drive away with the keys in your pocket. In the old days, they hung from the ignition in the dash.
