Tserhi gave his son a chiding look. He wouldn't deny that his native accent came out strongly when he'd been in his cups, but there were better ways to say it. "Ye mean the lass sounded like this, then?" he asked, leaning on his accent in a way he hadn't intentionally done since the last time he'd trotted it out like a parlor trick. Maaweyhi's ears stood up. "Yes, yes, like that!" he said, nodding fiercely, unable to suppress a grin. He'd always been the easiest to amuse with this trick. Zin's tolerance of making eye contact varies a lot. Generally speaking she's got a bit of neurodivergent "eye contact can make me uncomfortable" going on, and when she's anxious it gets worse. But when she is Locked In as a Dark Knight she will 100% be unsettlingly intense about it. #zinlore

Heavensward was when Zin kinda accepted that her life was on a different course now. Yeah the Ultima Weapon thing and fighting primals was a lot, but she could pretend that they’d find someone more suitably heroic. When she spoke to Tiamat with Midgardsormr is when she knew otherwise. #zinlore

D'zinhla had done her best to nudge away accumulated dirt and grime from the old page with a soft brush, one sent to her by her sister D'khenna, who now worked at Mealvaan's Gate. Through that connection Zin had gotten her first solid lessons in document preservation; not only did magicked arcanima grimoires require careful maintenance, but the great deal of paperwork processed by the Gate needed safe storing. It wasn't until meeting the Scions that she had gotten lessons in restoration of very old documents that had no benefit of aetheric warding about them; those had come from Urianger, and it was those lessons she had drawn on with the sheet before her.
