The ‘Winfarthing Pendant’ - a 7th century Anglo-Saxon disc brooch that was discovered by a metal detectorist in 2015 at Winfarthing, near Diss in South Norfolk. Now part of the collections at Norwich Castle. 📸 My own. #FindsFriday #Winfarthing #NorwichCastle

Fascinating talk by Dr Tom Lucking who as a #detectorists discovered the Winfarthing Treasure in 2015 🪙
What a remarkable project by a small village 😊
Looking forward to attending as many of the future talks on the project as work shifts allow 🗣
