Ugh, September. The weather hits my head the WORST. I’m in the glassy-headed place between migraines.

Behind and around the letter are the green stalks and white flowers with yellow centers of fleabane, a daisy-like flower in the Aster family, which grows in east and central North America. There are larger flowers in front, and a field of flowers in the background. The plants go from the base of the tag to just below the hole for hanging, with green grass visible just around the base of the F. Above is a circle, surrounded by a yellow sun and blue sky. The tag is edged in red and gold. Underneath is written “Fleabane”, with “Virginia Wildflowers written underneath. Flower reference: public domain photos. Today, our letter is F, for fleabane, a small daisy-like flower in the family Asteraceae.

It’s a complicated flower to draw when my head hurts. 🫠💜

Being rural, we are subject to occasional outages, but a complete lack of internet is a new one. That’s why I didn’t post yesterday, sorry, we only just got it back.

Flower!

The letter is a E, represented by the Evening Primrose (Oenothera biennis), in Art Nouveau style font, edged in gold, and with a fill of green leaves. Behind the letter are the green leaves and yellow flowers of evening primrose, which grows in east and central North America. The leaves are light and dark green, and the flowers are light yellow with anlmost fluorescent yellow anthers/stamens. The plants go from the base of the tag to just below the hole for hanging, which is in the middle of an evening sky, with pink and orange clouds on a deep blue sky. Evening primrose looks really lovely in the evening, but flowers during the day as well.
