I wasn't able to find direct evidence of people using either of today's minerals in a laser, but #Vesuvianite is slightly more promising. It's sometimes fluorescent, and there's plenty of ways to mess with its composition. Other sorosilicates can be laser materials, so there's hope. #MinCup26
