@helloandrew.bsky.socialI just remembered the one I was trying to remember saturday night:
Charlie Brooker (creator of black mirror) did several series of comical TV criticism (Screenwipe, How TV ruined your life, etc. Many are on youtube) which all use this part of Beethoven’s 7th as theme music.

@patricknearyart.bsky.socialFix this! #TheLongNight There are multiple bad frames.
It's at most 1/2-hour in the edit-suite. Solid frames available before and after, easy to replace/paint.
Other available versions do not have these bad frames.
@caldesertsun.bsky.socialBuffoon squad made even worse there.
Tried shooting in the door by splintering it to flinders. Only needed to weaken the door around the lock of course.
@caldesertsun.bsky.socialIt had a lot of wartime PTSD hints. Maybe it was too soon for teh post-war audience.
@leeahawn.bsky.socialJo Ann will just have to live her life with Joe remembering Mamma.

@leeahawn.bsky.socialI can see why it was a flop. I knew he was gonna kill himself. But no......

@dwayneadd.bsky.social#TheLongNight was a new one for me and I really enjoyed it. I have to look into the availability of "Le jour se lève" (1939) as it would make for a nice double feature someday.
Until next week: make it a good one fellow noir fans and stay safe.

@leeahawn.bsky.socialPoor Joe....he'll suffer from PTSD for years. Jo Ann, you gotta know it's gonna be a hard life with him.

@laughingacademy.bsky.socialAm I the only person slightly disappointed that Joe didn't wind up shooting Jo Ann through the door? Like, she didn't even get winged?

@mercurie80.bsky.socialAfter #TheLongNight I am thankful that next week's movie is Ace in the Hole. #TCMParty #NoirAlley
@teamrickandilsa.bsky.socialI don’t exactly feel sorry for Max. #TheLongNight #NoirAlley #TCMParty

@wmweibel.bsky.socialAnything to stop that insipid monologing. #TCMParty #NoirAlley #TheLongNight
@laughingacademy.bsky.socialHollywood frequently aims for "innocent" and lands on "kinda dumb"
