@singaporeshoes.bsky.socialJosh, the British comedian Richard Herring naming Maria Bamford as one of the best standups in the world said something along the lines of 'but gosh her first several years honing her act must have brutal'. Is there truth to that and what do you think he meant?
@dunbartunes.bsky.social#TestShow467 I was at a live taping of Hanging With Dr Z in New York. Dave Attell was one of the guests. He asked Dana Gould/ Dr. Z if anyone in the crowd gets his constant seventies C list actor references. He replied,” I go by Andy Kindler’s creed. My target audience are men my age who are me”.
@dan-marsh.bsky.socialJosh, you've done quite a few impressions on the podcast but were they ever a chunk of your act? Did you turn your back to the audience while saying "...and it might sound something like THIS..."? #TestShow467
@newmexicoman.bsky.socialHow are you two doing? Okay, I hope. #testshow467
@didtheyletuvote.bsky.social@jelvisweinstein.bsky.social #TestShow467 If our society is ending on November 3 as I have predicted, what’s the one thing you’d wanna do before that?
@dan-marsh.bsky.socialHey guys! Josh has talked about how supportive older comedians were when he was starting out. But did either of you run into established acts who insisted you were doing comedy wrong? #TestShow467
@singaporeshoes.bsky.socialAndy, your appearances on Letterman and in Montreal were cause for celebration in our household. The way Maron said your name with such joy and affection on his T.V. show -- melted out hearts. And, sincerely, I said "Why can't we have more of this"? when you conversed with Raymond. HBD
@jelvisweinstein.bsky.socialGot a question for Thought Spiral #TestShow467 ? Leave it here by tomorrow (Friday) at 9am.
@picklessorrel.bsky.socialOnce you finish the R A Dickey biography, will you move on to Gerry Arrigo’s?
I dare say Andy is the only human being over the age of 12 1/2 to read that piece of shit
