A phrase you hear first thing in a morning between colleagues in a school...

'Have a good day!'

It made me think. When was the last time you had a good day in Teaching? I mean genuinly a really good full day when you go home happy?

I am struggling to remember mine.

I wonder if we will ever hear this being said in an education establishment by a teacher?

My school has brought in a new initiative which will cause more workload. So leaders took two older pointless work heavy initiatives away.

I doubt common sense will ever prevail.

I am finding that doing basic stretching in my classroom before the day begins is quite a nice thing.

It helps me focus for the day ahead and to try and get through the day!

It is really important to join a union if you are a teacher.
The point is that you think you never need a union until you need a union.

I am knackered. That was a long day at work!
Holidays for a teacher are crap because you come back and your first day of the new term is such a shock to the system.
From 0 to 150 mph in no time at all.
I absolutely promise you. Few other jobs in the world compare to this.
