If you’d like a (kind of) cross between #StoryOfMinglan and #SwordAndBrocade then I highly recommend #AgainstTheCurrent. Liu Xueyi finally has an excellent drama and script. It’s very feminist, with a positive underlying message (despite the ep 1 tragedy). A lot of love for it here on Bluesky.

Yes, once we get into the household (end of ep 3) I think it’ll feel quite like #SwordAndBrocade. This kind of role (low-key, pragmatic, clever, sensible) seems to suit Tan Songyun best, so I’m glad she’s back. If the chemistry with Liu Xueyi is there then I’m definitely happy! #AgainstTheCurrent
