They crossed lines so far that they couldn't even see the lines. #TrekBookClub #StarTrekMyEnemyMyAlly

It was almost like kryptonite to the Vulcans, it was a terrible weapon. It reminds me of chemical weapons testing during WWII - they had open-air testing of chemical weapons during Vietnam about 50 or so miles from Salt Lake City. #TrekBookClub #StarTrekMyEnemyMyAlly

The cultural differences really came out. Five thousand years of separation! #TrekBookClub #StarTrekMyEnemyMyAlly

Ingenious linking the chess transporter from earlier to the sonic grenades. #TrekBookClub #StarTrekMyEnemyMyAlly

It became an extremely dire situation as they lost contact and reinforcement from Enterprise.

37. Since this was an early TOS novel (#18, published in 1984), there weren’t any references to self-sealing stembolts (or Chateau Picard 😊). However, there were a few callbacks to earlier TOS episodes. What were some of your favorite Trek references in #StarTrekMyEnemyMyAlly?

It's a popular trope because it works when a resolution is difficult otherwise. But to be fair, they gave us the heads up that this would happen.

She should have been given immunity and made a Federation citizen. She could have led a peaceful life there.

Heavy questions. I enjoyed the worldbuilding in Trek, but also the social commentary. The characters resonate the most as well as the idea of the UFP.

I'd like to see a series set in the 25th century but that might be asking too much. #TrekBookClub #StarTrekMyEnemyMyAlly

35. Star Trek celebrated its 60th anniversary earlier this month. What does Star Trek mean to you? Which aspect(s) of the franchise resonates with you the most? How should Trek proceed over the next few years since it looks likely the franchise will be paused?
#TrekBookClub #StarTrekMyEnemyMyAlly

It did make me more sympathetic towards the Romulans. People point out the difference between the Romulans from TOS to TNG so Ael was a nice bridge to that.. #TrekBookClub #StarTrekMyEnemyMyAlly

This was most definitely a good send-off for her. He honored her bravery with this token here on Earth. The Romulans are quite noble yet also clandestine in their attitudes towards those outside their realm
