The deep-sea incubation chambers can be deployed up to a depth of 6000 m and I used the predecessor version for the last 11 years, starting with my PhD for which they were developed originally. Now, I will finally get my own set, thanks to the #ERCStG project #SPYCLING (funded by @erc.europa.eu).

This week, the 'Benthic Ecological Biogeochemistry' group at @marumunibremen.bsky.social is busy packing for the upcoming #SO322 cruise to the Clarion-Clipperton Fracture Zone (Pacific). For the @erc.europa.eu project #SPYCLING I will measure nitrogen cycling in sponges 🧽.
