Fusion of E14 chicken parabronchi! Green staining with DSHB 7D6 for L-CAM/E-cadherin stains the lung epithelium. Magenta stains for smooth muscle actin that constricts the developing parabronchi. This was imaged on a confocal microscope and is an MIP. #ShowYourWork #SeenWithDSHB #Figure1

An image of the chicken parabronchi highlighting the interplay between smooth muscle and the epithelium during embryonic lung development. The muscle constricts the epithelium, causing it to outpocket. These outpockets will form the future gas exchange regions in the adult chicken. Green stains for DSHB 7D6 for L-CAM/E-cadherin to stain the lung epithelium. Magenta stains for smooth muscle actin that constricts the developing parabronchi.

Rumor has it, "MILF" actually stands for "mAb I'd Like to Fluoresce." Huge, if true!

Always true? We really do ❤️ older mAbs!

DSHB “Show Your Work” competition graphic presenting three entry categories: Figure 1, for an image a paper could or did hang on; Oops Art, for a beautiful outtake that missed the manuscript; and We Love Older mAbs, for images made with an antibody or hybridoma line older than the imager. Hashtags #ShowYourWork and #SeenWithDSHB appear below.

Love this imaging contest idea!

DSHB 3A10 (anti-neurofilament-associated Mauthner cells), Xenopus hindbrain on confocal.

I think this counts as "Oops Art!" 🎨

Include:

• DSHB clone ID/antibody name
• Tissue/cell type + species
• Imaging method
• Two hashtags: #ShowYourWork + #SeenWithDSHB

The hashtags are how we find your entry. Labs and institutions will be credited properly.
