Conflict is the fight. Tension is the wait. Scenes can argue hard and still feel flat if nothing is hanging. Where in your draft does the reader lean forward before anyone raises their voice?
A scene earns its keep when something changes — knowledge, a relationship, or the stakes. If nothing moved by the last line, it may be setup wearing a costume.
Before you keep a scene, can you name what changed?
Edit challenge: your protagonist walks into a room. Describe the furniture first — or the feeling the room gives them?
