It'd be so easy to walk on by a bit of grassland peppered with tiny flecks of yellow in late September and not realising most of those tiny sun-yellow flecks harbours a tiny sustained insect.

Insects observed feeding on #RoughHawkbit (Leontodon hispidus) were many & varied in the chalk grassland along the #dykeapproach path.

Really worth growing this much overlooked drought-hardy stalwart & cheery nectar source, especially in late summer/early autumn
