Airbrush? Where we're going, we don't need an airbrush. #revelltransall

Some Transall parts that still needed finishing were the RR Tyne exhausts and the crew entry ladders. See alt for more. #revelltransall

Pic of 1/72 exhausts for the Revell Transall C-160. Painted with Alclad metallics, on an Alclad black base. First I sprayed an polished aluminium coat, then a light coat of Gold Titanium, then some Copper highlights. Sealed with Future, then exhaust soot using a homemade mix of Mr Hobby colours I use for soot, tyres and smoke.Photo of 1/72 ladders for the Transall C-160s. The base paint layer is a Mr Surfacer mix black 1500/ grey 1200 without a top paint layer. First time I've done that I think. Details were painted with Vallejo and Citadel paints. Dry brushed with Vallejo.

Last steps (though many itsy bits to go) in the Revell 1/72 Transall C-160 builds. Masking tape has been removed, not without leaving quite a bit of residue to still be removed. Wheels have been attached and the C-160s are now quite happy to stand on their own feet. #RevellTransall #histscalemodels
