Recovery Month 2026 round-up is live. Recovery Fest, the Wirral Recovery Awards, the UK Recovery Walk in Bradford, netball, HMP Liverpool, and everything in between. One of our busiest Septembers yet.
We know what needs to be done to tackle the drugs deaths crisis for women and children. We need more investment in women-specific services to increase capacity and expand available and accessible support across Scotland.
Every September, #RecoveryMonth is nationally observed to raise awareness regarding substance use health and honor everyone along the spectrum. The substance use health spectrum recognizes that every person exists on a continuum where substance use carries both risks and benefits.
As National Recovery Month comes to a close, AMERSA recognizes the people whose lived and living experience continues to shape substance use care.
Their expertise belongs at the center of the field, this month and throughout the year.
Question 2: Do you have any advice for someone newly in recovery?
National Recovery Month continues! Remember, addiction doesn’t define you.
It’s not your whole story, it’s just a chapter.
