Animals [a lion and a dog], C16th, by #ProperziadeRossi (Italian, c. 1490-1530). Held by Venezia, Gallerie dell’Accademia; Gabinetto disegni e stampe; source, www.artearti.net/mostre/il-vo... #artherstory #womenartists
@artherstory.bsky.social![A pen and ink drawing of a lion in the top half of the page, facing the left edge; and a dog in the bottom half of the page, facing right. Cursive writing at top right says "di Properzia diRossi Scultrice Bolognese nel 15[??]" with two question marks above the date. In the lower right corner is an oval-shaped official stamp that I cannot entirely read, under which is more small cursive handwriting - six words beginning with "Cane."](https://cdn.bsky.app/img/feed_fullsize/plain/did:plc:6ptxeoq2bfatck3ca6ssid3r/bafkreidorr2uoejilbovorgklqwu54spu4i6nuanwlfbrv7k74igq3alky@jpeg)
