back door hung! Will get another 2x6 to fill that gap. And we will stain it along with the rest of the wood. It is made of fir, (except the little inside trim on the plastic is yellow cedar)

still need to decide on what the door latch/opener will be.

grapes picked! not a whole lot on the bottom vines as those are just new the past year since we trimmed everything way back when we redid the fence last fall.

Bin is not quite full. Will be plenty for a dozen or more jars of juice!

Oh, I also washed down the entire greenhouse to clean off the dust from the construction. The fog has burned off and the sun is out! Will wait for it to dry a little more, then it is time to start staining!

back to some light but important #poolpond work this morning. After extending a little bit of the gravel around the greenhouse to catch the drip zone, I made the pretty-much-final* trim of the liner and fabric around the entire edge of the pond.

looking down at one corner of the greenhouse. There is a neat line of gravel around the corner.looking out of the greenhouse towards the pond and the house with a blue sky above. The liner is trimmed close to the water.looking at the front part of the pond where the corner is to the filter pond. The line is cut up to the rocks and the edge of the water with a lot more brown earth exposed. There is one small part sticking out like a tongue, which is the overflow.looking at the level of water in the rain barrel, it is at about 750 L

alot of trim today! also framed in the central rectangular window holes for the vents. All the major wood work on the structure and trim is done!

The first picture shows the backyard in its previous state with a picnic table in the middle some garden boxes in the back on the left, a small sports car on the left in front of a large shed and the hazelnut tree. The chicken coop and run is in the foreground on the left. August 2 2024The next picture is turned a little to the right to show the hazelnut tree in the middle with the growing holes for the ponds. The digger is in the back beside the car which is now on the left. The coop is still on the right. Sept 2 2024Labour Day 2025. The ponds are dug and gravel is filled in. 5ere is no water and the large pile of dirt and rocks and gravel are all in the back. The new fence has not been builtToday. Sept 8 2026. The ponds are full and there are some plantings on them. The pads in the back are set and there are some chairs. Also the greenhouse is taking shape.
