Money Myth 5: "You need a lot of money to start investing." Not true.

$100 a month, started at 25, can grow to about $190,000 by 65 at 6% a year. Start 10 years later and you end up with about half.

Money Myth 2: A TFSA is just a savings account.

A TFSA (Tax-Free Savings Account) can hold more than cash. You can put GICs, bonds, ETFs and stocks in it too. Whatever grows inside the account is tax-free.

Money Myth 1: Rent is throwing away money.

Owners lose money every month too. Mortgage interest, property tax and repairs never come back, just like rent.

The catch: renting only wins if you actually invest the money instead of spending it.
