'Now I will try'

Experimental cyanotype (sun) print on a vintage children's encyclopedia page.

Made using printed silhouettes of oystercatchers on acetate & sewing thread.

The aged paper gives a very specific shade of blue 💙
I also like the text showing through!

One more from Lake Balaton today... Eurasian Oystercatcher (Haematopus ostralegus). Not a great photo because thru my scope. Uncommon in Hungary but this year there have been a lot more around than usual. #BirdingHungary #oystercatchers #waders #shorebirds

A small section of a single flock of 3,000+ South Island Oystercatchers (Haematopus finschi) at the Robert Findlay Wildlife Reserve near Auckland. This is on the north island so I guess they were lost! 😂 #BirdingNewZealand #shorebirds #waders #oystercatchers #WorldShorebirdsDay
