Oh my god that ending with Priss and Sylvie...

"Leon. The patrol choppers are each carrying an Armored Trooper...so...uh...DON'T use 'em to go patrolling."
I'm having flashbacks to when Kureha told Nami where the spare sleigh was but she was not released from her care.

"He's just his usual 'charming self'!"
What's funny is the subs say "It's just his usual bitchiness." and I'm honestly wondering WHY the dub didn't go for that line.

"Well, if it isn't the current HOT TOPIC of conversation!"
WOW, this anime predicted that was going to be a thing before it became a thing.

Guys...I'm just letting you know...
I've read the Vampire Hunter D novel and watched the anime, was a Buffy/Angel fan and even watched True Blood and read ALL the Sookie Stackhouse novels so yeah...VAMPIRES ARE WALKING SEX!

"Pleased to meet you!"
Lemme guess...
They were supposed to replace Priss with Sylvie. I'm getting that vibe with the awkward group handshake!

"Call it feminine intuition."
I NEED to call out Japan on this. A lot of their LGBTQA+ biases didn't REALLY start until the US occupation around the Meiji Era but older animes tended to lump gay, drag and genderfluid into a singular category.

Is it just me or does Leon look "buffer" in this episode?

"Well come back to my place later...and I'll make a new man out of you!"
IT ISN'T HELPING THAT I JUST LEARNED THE DIRECTOR OF THESE EPISODES DID BRAVERN!

"I can't stand this place any longer."
I've watched enough dystopian animes to learn...this isn't going to end well.

So I'm gonna lead again with this disclaimer:
2040 is the ONLY part of the Bubblegum franchise I watched on my own, DigiRanma and I covered Crash a few years ago and outside of the first 2 OVAs everything here is NEW to me
