A gas pipeline explosion sparked a wildfire Tuesday near the Colorado state line in San Juan County, NM.

Crews shut down the pipeline and quickly contained the Wilmer Canyon Fire to ~5 acres. No injuries were reported.

The New Mexico State Forester has lifted all fire restrictions across the state following the recent stretch of wet weather.

Even with the restrictions lifted, people are still urged to use caution with anything that could spark a wildfire.

The Frijoles Fire also flared up today, sending up more smoke across northern New Mexico.

Hot, dry weather and unburned pine are fueling the activity, but officials say there is no threat to people or property.

The fire is 15,546 acres and 79% contained. #NMFire

The Whiskey Fire has flared up Friday in the Manzano Mtns. A column of smoke can be seen rising from the west slope, with aerial crews making water and retardant drops around the fire.

The latest update was from September 9, when the fire was 432 acres and 42% contained. #NMFire
